How about if you make INT your dump stat, you automatically have to make an INT check vs. DC of 20, which if you fail means you actually made DEX your dump stat. But because of the lesson learned, your WIS goes up by one.

Actually, there are a number of classes for whom that would be at least mildly advantageous...
