Mammoth Dungeons

Looks good to me. If I 0rder that standard dungeon pack I get 4 dungeons drawn up for me at $5.00 each, $19.95 total.

Or I can order a single Mammoth dungeon for $20.00.

Or I can have them work up an "Epic" Dungeon at $20.00/level.

Now my only question is do they print these out and mail them to me or are these pdf type files only?

So are these just maps? Or do they come with critters and NPCs and a story/plot?

I personally always thought the funnest part of making dungeons was drawing them on graph paper, so I really never understood the value of things that were just maps (like the whole "geomorphs" thing.

I thought that too until I picked up a copy of Green Ronin's Dungeons of Doom. There are some maps in there that - just by looking at them - inspire me to come up with a story - rather than just a bunch of blank square and odd-shaped rooms thrown together (like what the non-detailed parts of Undermountain seemed to be to me).

It looks like they just give you forms to fill out with random encounter charts and to write-up a specific room encounter. Which is fine with me, like DaveMage recently found out, it is fun to use your own imagination to populate a Dungeon, figuring out what makes sense where.

I don't think I would want to do that with a Mammoth or Epic dungeon, though. Not all at once, anyways.
