"Mantle of Egregious Might" question?

Ok, I am currently playing in the module "Demon God's Fane" by Monte Cook I believe. I just tonight finished beating this nasty demon and got an item of his called a Mantle of Egregious Might. My DM said it gives lots of different bonuses to different things, but said he'd fill me in on the details next week.

Now, even he told me that he could not find this magic item listed in the DMG or any other books he's check so far. But the name seems so familiar to me that I can't help but think it's in a book I own SOMEWHERE. That's where I'd like the help of fellow ENworlders: Can anybody tell me if this item is detailed in any book other than the 'Demon God's Fane' module? If so, where? And if not, would you mind posting the stats of this item for me so I can start planning which of my characters might make the best use out of it?

Thanks for any help on this. I appreciate it lots!

It's an arcane spell from Book of Eldritch Might 1 which grants a +4 luck bonus to AC, attack rolls, saving throws, and ability scores.

There is no item called such in the module; rather, the fiend who "has it" is actually under the influence of a spell cast by another object he has access to (which I won't mention because of the potential spoiler). I think your DM misread the module (no criticism implied, BTW).

Cheers

I can see where the "egregious" came from....

Or he changed it. no one has to follow a module word for word.

of course it sound really powerful as an item, I want one.

Thanks all for the help. And thanks for trying to keep it spoiler free, but I already know what item he got the bonus from now. I just didn't realize (and neither did my DM I guess) that it was a spell effect from that and not an item which could be taken after his defeat. Oh well, cest la vie I guess. But did they have to make the spell sound so much like an item?

Thanks for all your help everybody.

They didn't. There is indeed a magic item, but it's the throne, which can be activated to bestow the spell upon the person sitting in it. Like Derulbaskul said, your DM probably just misread the passage in the module. I ran it a while back for my group, and I misread it when I first glanced at it as well. I was about to include it in the treasure, but then I realized it was a chair.

I don't think anyone wanted to carry around a throne. :)

Well, I always figured that's what henchmen were for. Getting carted around the globe on a magical throne, now that's what I call travelling in style!
