Many of You should be ashamed of yourselves

I speak as a gamer who has been visiting this website ever since EN started it before D&D3e came out. I have see a lot of bickering on these boards, between professionals moreso than other gamers, which is ridiculous in itself, but the way some of you treat your fellow professionals is just pathetic, and you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Many of you preach on the boards that you are better than those who run rpg.net, or those that just visit rpg.net, where cussing is allowed and people are able to freely express themselves more than we can here (which is okay), yet you claim that you are more professional than those that go to rpg.net, you guys in general claim to be more mature and can handle arguments in a mature manner...

I call bull**** on many of you, the crap many of you give Monte about his decision to write a book is pathetic, to say the least, and out right rude, and having the other thread closed because you guys have a grudge against him, or some of you might not like him, or his decision... you guys make rpg.net look GOOD right now.

And if any of you call me a fanboy, or hero worshipper, or any of those terms just because of what I am saying... go look in the mirror, call yourself a immature hypocrit, and accept that you are not as mature as you think you are.

I apologize in advance also to the moderators, but someone has to at least say something about this kind of crap. I mean no offense to this particular website, and no offense to you guys. You do a good job. Should I get banned, or warned, for typing this message, so be it.

No offense but I generally come to ENWorld when I'm writing to a deadline and need to procrastinate and blow off steam. I happen to really like the mix of aggressive bickering and helpful advice -- for me, it's the perfect combination. I don't know anything about the thread about Monte Cook but generally I don't associate any sense of moral superiority with this board. I had no idea this was the case with anyone who posted here. For me, ENWorld wouldn't really be worth visiting if it were any nicer.

While I agree with most of what you say, the "many of you" part is just wrong. There are thousands of people in this community and there were at most a dozen offenders.

Two possibilities here.

1) You are trolling.
Response: Good luck with that.

2) You are sincere in your unhappiness
Response: Wouldn't it be better to direct your ire at the people in the threads that have so disgruntled you? Perhaps within those self-same threads so people know what your on about?

Your generalisation of ENWorlders thoughts/opinions/maturity does you no credit...

just a small FYI...that thread is closed.

I just checked out the other site, rpg.com. The solution is simple, if you don't like this site, don't come here, and don't come here bitching us out about your dislikes and problems. Just don't come if you don't like it here, go there. And as a note, I wouldn't be suprised if this thread is closed or deleted by a moderator, and your membership lost of suspended. But if you don't like this site that much, then you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Acid_crash, I closed the thread. As someone who has been coming here for years, you should know the rule that once a thread is closed, as the earlier thread about Monte's project was, it is not acceptable to open a new thread discussing the same subject. Let it rest, please.
