A couple years back Inkwell Ideas started a Patreon (something like a monthly subscription) for map icon mini-sets for use with our software programs (Hexographer, Cityographer, Dungoenographer and now Worldographer). The time is right to re-launch that thanks to an agreement with artist/cartographer Keith Curtis, who has done the bulk of the map icons for our software.
Each month we’ll have 4 map icon mini-sets: isometric map icons (good for Worldographer, but usable in Hexographer 1 as well–see the image above); more flat/classic & 1e style icons for Worldographer or Hexographer; more dungeon and building interior graphics perfect for Dungeonographer; and more city/village building icons designed for Cityographer. Each month will have a theme. This month is it merfolk/sea creatures.
All the graphics will be transparent PNGs, so they should be usable in other map & image editors as well. You may use them in maps to be published, but they may only be redistributed as part of a map and you must credit them as "Map includes icons/images from Inkwell Ideas" in the corner of the map or adjacent to it. If using one of our programs add "and made with Worldographer" (or Dungeonographer/Cityographer/Hexographer as appropriate.)
As before, we’ll be posting preview thumbnails of each set, and making a single paid post near the end of the month with the actual graphic sets. This post has our isometric icons preview. Our plan is to do just one set of each type per month in one paid post. (One set of 15+ isometric icons, one set of 15+ city icons, one set of 15+ dungeon/building interior icons, one set of 15+ flat/classic world map icons.)
