mapping programs

I read that the Dunjinni license doesn't allow you to publish or profit from things you create in the program. I find that a show stopper. Its greedy and steps on dreams of what I could do with a work.

I hope its not true.

I will very likely never publish anything I create beyond my gaming group but a man likes to dream and locking into a program that limits you that way sucks.

I *think* they now differentiate between 'publish' and 'profit'. If you wanted to put up a module you created using Dundjinni, you just have to include their little logo object. I think something like selling a module to Dungeon to publish using the maps is not allowed. But as I recall, the discussion went back and forth a lot, and I'm not positive what the final resolution was. Best to check the Dundjinni boards for clarification.

I like Dundjinni quite a bit, but the most complicated "art" program with which I am *actually* reasonably proficient is MS Paint. It's simple, relatively intuitive, and it makes pretty maps when I want it to.
