Maps!

I did a bunch of maps for the Flanaess, the main continent of Greyhawk. I was going to do the entire Flanaess in the same style, but things happened in life and I never got back to it. I gave them all to Canonfire! to host. There used to be thumbnails of the maps, but it looks like they took them down during a revamping of the site. I did a poster size and a letter-size version of each map.

Each file I zipped when I sent them to Canonfire! and they posted them as is, not unzipping them.

I did a map for:

The Bandit Kingdoms/Shield Lands More than 4 MB in size.
The Central Flanaess (including Greyhawk, Bright Desert, Dyvers, and the Cairn Hills) This is a letter-sized version, the poster version is on Canonfire! Less than 1MB, the poster size is larger.
The Western half of the Thillonrian PeninsulaIncludes both the poster and letter size in one file I believe, it is about 4 MB I think.
The Eastern Thillonrian Peninsula Letter sized, about 1 MB.
Pale, Ratik, and the Bone March, includes the Rakers. Another letter sized, about 1 MB.
The Pomarj Peninsula (includes much of the Azure Sea) Another letter sized, about 800 KB.

I once wrote a tutorial for how I made these in the comments of the Canonfire! posts, for the life of me I can't find it. I wish I could because I've almost forgotten it myself! ;)

It is a style I'm fond of because I've done a lot of research using satellite imagery.

Eric's maps are amazing, and I encourage you'all to check them out, even if you're not into Greyhawk.

I've done a few maps myself, and written a "Guide to RPG Map Making" on my website. That particular page also serves as a kind of links page where you can click on any of the sample maps and be taken to the full maps spread out over the many pages of my website (though not all of the maps - hunt around and you'll find more!).

I love your style and if you are able to supply larger images of any of your maps then that would be awesome :)

Thanks Kris! I've been keeping an eye on your work for awhile and its looking good. :)

Here are a few links to threads where I've posted larger versions of some of my maps. I'll make sure to include a followup post in this forum when I put up some new large maps online. (Soon)

The new City of Greyhawk map came out pretty well if I do say so myself. ;)
Ah!!! So you are the fellow that arted-up my City of Greyhawk map! I wasn't sure when I saw it. It looks nice. Very (and I mean PRECISELY!) accurate to my original design. ;-) Erik and I approve! :-)

I must say that I was proud to work on such an iconic city and wanted to make sure that the new version stayed as true to your orignal layout as possible. ;)
