From the maker of MapX comes MapX Tiler Foundation. I am working on the next generation of MapX, and I have decided that the foundation of the mapper should be tile based. Why? Because it is the easiest map-making paradigm to grasp. Choose a tile and start dropping them on the map. Bang, you have a map.
On top of a semi-clone of Dungeoncrafter, I am going to drop all the functionality available in MapX. So, you can choose to use all the advanced functionality of MapX, or just keep it simple and draw a tile based map. Or mix and mach as you want. I have basically got the DC2 clone feature completed, except for one or two functions that will be superceded by MapX functions.
I would like you to test the program, as I want to develop the best possible tile-based mapping foundation before I start layering the MapX functionality on top of it.
