I'm liking the look of 4e familiars. It also looks like the xorn and the djinn will be making a comeback in MM2.

Those are, indeed, cool.

But I must confess that, sad as it may be, what's got me most excited is that the first of the epic adventures appears to be using characters I created in my "Ashen Covenant" Dragon article. :heh:

Cool, got the Table of Contents for PHB2. Some things that stand out to me:

-Appendix: Rule Updates
-Lots of different types of Backgrounds (including Occupation for those looking for Profession)
-"Custom Spirit Companions" Hmm... That is interesting. I wonder what is involved there.

As well as Familiar stuff for Arcane Power. Wow, unlimited range for the cat. That be useful.

I love, love, love the fact that the very first examples we're given include what is essentially an imp or quasit, as well as a mundane option like a cat. :D I'm hoping for a lot more of that sort of thing.

I want to see a snake next. The cat and snake have been my two favourites for mundane familiars. I am glad got a acrobatic/stealthy familiar, my Rogue/Warlock will be happy.

Just now cracking this link open.

I notice that the Corpse Marrionate is missing from the excerpt from Dungeon Delve. (Edit: No, wait, it's in the area features. Hahha, minion bomb.)

But, holy CRAP the Bonemaster is a nasty solo guy. He slows anyone in his aura, and can spam "Daze and Immobilize" every round. Not to mention pop minions into being. (What's cool is that he does Radiant and Necrotic to enemies; makes sense why he spanked the vampires in the first place).

I do like the adventure expanding suggestions, although the suggested secondary dungeon (Hag, chuuls, etc) sounds really crowded. My 'those monsters are odd, living together in such a little space, below a vampire crypt' sense is tingling.

I like the two encounter excerpts. And the advice to flesh the one out into a longer adventure.

And the giant Dire Ground Hog is interesting...
