a) Gas Spores were *great* monsters, and made perfectly good sense: beholder decoys, and cheap way for the DM to scare the pants off the PCs!! hehe.
b) Hey, I love gnomes and Spelljammer, but I'm not a furry!
to many folk were outraged by the Giant Space hamsters, oh for goodness sake, D&D is about *FUN*, never lose sight of that
oh on the funky looking beholder
hm, wasn't there an undead type, or infected actually, called a kasharin, from Legend of Spelljammer, where a disease caused madness and eventual sort of mummification/undeath?
