[March] What are you reading?

It's quite rare for me to only have one book on the go, and I read a lot of non-fiction. The only novel I'm on at the moment is Guy Gavriel Kay, Under Heaven.

I'm reading John Dies @ the End and it is a very odd and strange book. I'm not sure if I need a lobotomy to comprehend what is going on in in but it couldn't hurt.

Just read that last month, fantastic book. Some true mind-:):):):)ery going on there.

Just finished up Empire in Black and Gold, the first of the Shadows of the Apt series. Enjoyed it a lot, some infrequent editing problems not withstanding. And in a shocking turn of events, unlike every other first-in-a-series I've read since I got my Kindle, this one actually has more books available to read now! Started the next in the series, Dragonfly Falling.

Ooh! That was one of the first Fantasy novels I ever read. I remember it quite fondly. It definitely shaped my opinion what Fantasy novels should be like.

Me too! I remember it fondly. In fact, I read this, then the Amber series, then the Riverworld series. Those three series really shaped my idea of fantasy for many, many years.

Started on The Year of the Flood then realised it's a kinda sequel to Oryx and Crate, so might try to read that first.

Went over to read Scott Westerfield's Behemoth, the sequel to Leviathan. Fun young adult read.

Beyond 2012 by Geoff Stray.

As far as novels go, I've got a few on deck - not sure yet which to read:

Axis - Robert Charles Wilson
House of Suns - Alastair Reynolds
House of Chains - Steven Erikson

Tons more on my shelves to read but those are currently highest on the queue.

I just finished readind Bag of Bones by Stephen King. I enjoyed the novel, though thought the end was something of a let down.

Onto The Orchard Keeper by Cormac McCarthy.

I just finished Lone Wolf by Nigel Findley and have started on the first book in the Honor Harrington series, On Basilisk Station, by David Weber. Both on my Kindle.

Finished Behemoth by Scott Westerfield. Boy what a fun read; young adult steampunk pulp adventure, with inventive devices and plenty of neat historical tidbits.

I just finished Cryptic a collection of short fiction by Jack McDevitt. I've also been reading lots of graphic novels especially the Ultimate series the Marvel has been doing over the past decade.
