D&D 5E Mark -- I don't get it

Another thing to keep in mind is that characters with Extra Attack can mark more than one enemy. So the classes who should be encouraging enemies to stay and fight them (Fighters, Paladins, Barbarians, etc.) are the best at doing so.

And because the extra OAs are once per turn, as opposed to round, such characters can effectively keep all their marked enemies near them. Better still if they have Sentinel.
