Carvan heads down the rope quickly. If he can, when he reaches the end, he'll quickly drop off and draw his axe.

Brelach will climb down the rope as fast as he can (accelerated climbing, upping the DC by 5, so he can move 1/2 his speed, instead of 1/4).

Accelerated Climbing (1d20=17)

At the end of this climb, he'll let go, using Tumble to land lightly (so he misses the first 10 feet of the fall, and the next ten feet are subdual).

Tumble to land (1d20+8=28)

Landing like a cat (booyah!), Brelach will stand near Silvanon, and attack any kobold who draws near (and keeping an eye out for any that look like spellcasters). The silver medallion on his neck begins to glow faintly.

Round 1 continues
Arvan hurriedly moves to Silvanon's rescue, drawing attacks from the two kobolds that held off from firing at Silvanon. The magic firey bolts they use are quite accurate...

Crossbow Bolts of Fire (1d20+4=17, 1d6+1+1d6=7, 1d20+4=18, 1d6+1+1d6=10)

(17 damage, of which 6 us fire damage. Arvan is still 20' up on the rope (he'll also be using accelerated climbing) with 1 hp left. Is he willing to jump from there? Otherwise, he'd be blocking the rope....

OOC: Yeah, he'll jump. Arvan's jump n tumble (1d20+2=12) That could be bad. Action Point for tumble. (1d6=6), Better. If only I'd made it to 3rd level, Fire resistance 9 would have been nice right about now.

Not willing to remain the sole target, Arvan jumps down the last 20'. He's agile enough that while seriously jarred, he doesn't take any serious hurt from the fall. Combined with his other wounds, though, it's enough to cause him to pass out.

Weapon calls out "Use the rope or let me jump!" (Delay until after Alys)

Brelach scrambles down the rope like a squirrel, reaching the bottom unharmed. (ooc: double move accelerated climb =30' down the rope, tumble avoids damage from the 10' fall.)
