Martial Power and Races: Dwarves and Halflings

So, to sum up the Halfling; getting the shaft. I think this may be related to Rogues seemingly getting the shaft as whole, based on what has been revealed. It's rough out there for a little guy.

To be fair, it sounds like there are some potentially very nice expanded option for ranged rogues (which needed the most aid) - melee rogues were already pretty much at the top of the class, from what I've seen.

I haven't seen anything that really helps you keep up the Sneak Attack damage using ranged attacks on the Rogue(beyond the hide/invisibility stuff from the PHB), so its still suboptimal. As for the Rogue itself, I find its a matter of the player. Under optimum conditions, it can outhit anything, including the Ranger. Rogues benefit from teamwork, especially from Fighters and Warlords, and are often more/less effective based on party makeup. A tactically brilliant player with a well optimized Rogue can keep up those optimum conditions 90% of the time or more, not to mention that the Rogue gets MUCH better negative conditions added to its attack than the Ranger. In the hands of a lesser player, the Rogue is less effective. If you're looking for an easy to use, hard to screw up striker, you're best off with the Ranger. A badly played Ranger(particularly the archer) is still going to be fairly effective.

Ankle Cutter sound pretty good if the rest of the party is a shooty style group. Then again a melee rogue in a shooty style group is probably not long for this world...

Rogues - with thier +1 to hit with (+3 prof) daggers and multitude of non-AC-defense-targetting attack powers (not to mention Daggermaster) - have nothing to complain about.

Saying "oh, but they're doing ok in the base book, so they should have nothing in future books" is just being silly. Even if rogues were totally ruling the game in the initial release, the goal should be to fix that and not release anything to make them worse, not to release nothing for them.

Do rogues really get no love in MP? I've yet to hear anything good (or even interesting) for them...
