The characters!

Commander Jim Goacher - a tough and heroic leader of men, he leads the trouble-shooting Alpha Project into situation where the larger Alliance forces wouldn't go.

Peter Whyatt - possibly the most powerful biotic human in the galaxy. Also possibly the most overconfident, and, sadly, the most overweight.

Tom Paisley - small in stature, but an outstanding scout and sniper.

Andy Mullahan - mechanical genius and prodigy, the youngest member of the team is still slightly in awe of his squad-mates but determined to do well.

Vinny Lorenzo - a close-combat expert and holder of the experimental Excalibur molecular sword, Vinny is a straight-line, old-fashioned hero.

The situation!

You are members of the Alpha Project, a small team of individuals tasked with dealing with threats and problems the larger Alliance military can't deal with. A distress call has been received from the planet Chohe, in the Cacus system of the Hades Gamma cluster. The colonists are reporting immediate response, and ahead of a larger mobilisation, the team has been sent in...

...what will they find?

Goin' to Hades Gamma Cluster in a handbasket!

I've only done a little SW but definitely would like to play some more. Count me in for this one, too!

6 slots, 5 Characters?

[I'm copy and pasting counters for them right now]:]

edit: here are 10 character tokens with two 'extras' since savage worlds can handle numbers pretty well

I'll be making up another character in the next couple of weeks, I've only got five players in my home group.

And the Computer thanks you for your kind thoughts. However, kind thoughts are only permissable from those with White security clearance. Please report for termination.

So, I've realised I haven't selected a venue for this yet. Could anyone help out a GenCon newbie to find somewhere to actually host this? Plus, if I've got spaces left by the time the Con comes around could you help me find out where to advertise it on site?

As for advertising open spaces, you could try leaving a note at the ENnies booth. I don't know how well it works, but it's been used in the past.

Also, posting an update in this thread before your game starts (say, 8:30ish or earlier) or the day before sometimes works. :) You can also try to drum up interest at any other ENW event you may be attending (social events or other games) . . . Just don't be annoying. ;)
