master of many forms stack with druid?

Voadam

Legend
Druid wildshape says it is limited to druid levels in HD. MoMF gives new form types and says it adds uses per level but never specifies anywhere that it stacks with druid levels for duration of wildshape or HD cap on forms assumed. Is this a deliberate trade off or an oversight and they should stack?

the MoMF has given up all spellcasting advancement and animal companion advancement for the extra forms, do they also give up the high HD forms?

Any official errata?

It's supposed to, though for some reason that text was left out of the printing.

There was a thread here a couple weeks back where someone posted something WotC about it being fixed, eventually.

Yes, there was something.

Customer Service from WotC wrote this:
Level BAB FortSave RefSave WillSave Special
1st +0 +2 +2 +0 Shifter’s speech, improved wild shape (humanoid), wild shape

Wild Shape: Levels of this prestige class and druid levels stack for the purpose of determining the duration of the wild shape class feature and the Hit Dice of a creature the master of many forms can assume. (CustServe)

Enjoy

Well, nothing official per se. Custserv isn't official, and they're often plain wrong. I get the impression they've been wrong less lately, but still not official.

Does anyone else find it downright unprofessional that Customer Service can be wrong more often than the EN boards, and yet, they get paid for it?

I think EN Worlders are also just more picky about having the right rules at the right times, though. And we have a lot of people to discuss rules with.

Then again, that's not what this thread is for.

I wouldn't consider them wrong in this instance, since it would only make sense and be logical for the PrC to stack with the Druid's levels. It would be pretty assinine for it not to.

Personally, I wouldn't take this PrC, I don't consider the trade-off for lost spellcasting to be worth it. Shapechange at ninth level (18 CL) more than makes up for this PrC's abilities, and all the other spells I would be delaying, or giving up ever casting if the campaign doesn't go that high, isn't worth losing. IF I want the bonus wildshapes I'll use feats if its that important to me.

Eh, I'm not so sure, you need a minimum of 5 levels of druid for wildshape so they last 5 hours, and capping at 5 hours at a time with 1 time per level added does not seem asinine. You get almost any humanoid form at level 1 even with a 5HD cap so master of disguise bang right there. It would lead to going back and forth into druid for higher HD giants and animals instead of into other prcs.

For instance I'm running a 15th level game and the druid formerly 3.0 shifter is converting to this class through a chaos ritual in game. So as a vow of poverty druid 5, warshaper 5, MOMF 4 LA +1 what HD giant form should he be able to mimic all day long and multimorph into other forms quickly? I don't expect him to be hurting on power even if I say it doesn't stack. Although I would probably create a practiced spellcaster type feat for wildshaping anyway.
