Maximize your miniature dollar

All good suggestions. One tangent: out of all the DDM sets that exist right now, what would be the cheapest to buy, in-box, to yield huge minis. Also, is that a huge price differential from just picking up the huge minis on the secondary market?

Auggies is always the best place to buy minis in the secondary market.

We use DDM, Heroscape (expensive, but can be found on closeout), dreamblade bought on closeout, legos (dang expensive on the secondary market actually), pieces my kids sculpted (some funny stuff there), megablocks, stuff from the dollar store.

Ah, I hadn't realized that Against the Giants was the only set that yielded huge miniatures. Did they previously always come as standalone sells?

We made some figures out of Shrinky Dinks, and they worked pretty well. You can get Shrinky Dink paper for your printer, and if you bend them when they are hot they get a little bit of the third dimension.

:D I'd like to see some pics of those! :D
