Maximum attacks per round for PC-3.0

By the way, this happens to be a rule I have a problem with. If you take 20 levels as a Fighter then 20 levels as a Wizard, you've got 4 attacks. If you take 20 levels as a Wizard then 20 levels as a Fighter, you've got 2 attacks. Not that there should be that many 40th level characters running about, but WTF!!!

Can you tell me where you read that please?

As far as i understand that both Chars would have 4 Attacks at +30/+25/+20/+15

Fighter highest Bonus +20 plus the Wizards highest bonus +10 = +30.

Then subtract 5 from the highest bonus until you reach 4 attacks.

Vice versa for the Wizard.

That would be stupid (in my opinion) that a Char, who started as Wizard, would only have 2 Attacks.

Both Chars get the "same" Training, but only with other priorities.

In the ELH. An epic attack bonus does not increase your number of attacks per round. Once you hit 20th-level, your number of attacks per round is frozen.

Then i can only add:

This rule s*ck.
If this makes you unhappy, there's a fix for it that's so simple, easy, and fair you wonder why Andy Collins never realized it*.

When determining an epic-level character's iterative attacks, only count the base attack bonus from his "best" twenty levels. Thus, a wizard 30/fighter 2 counts 18 of his wizard levels and 2 of his fighter levels (for a functional BAB of +11 and two additional attacks, before epic attack bonuses and other bonuses). This accomplishes the ELH goals of retaining balance among epic level characters' attack rates and preventing the number of attacks from getting out of hand, but doesn't unfairly punish people from taking class levels in the "wrong" order.

* But then you realize that Andy Collins is cause of such aberrations as the über-dwarf, the double-damage-with-a-two-handed-weapon Power Attack, the d6 damage-die Horrid Wilting, Spell Focus at +1, the fact that keen and Improved Critical no longer stack, and the lame facing and weapon size rules, and begin to understand why elegant rules don't occur to him. He's a special man, in a "I ride the short bus" kind of way.
