Maximum Attacks Per Round?

Greetings,

I am currently writing up an epic monster (An Abyssal Duke) with 30 HD. It being an Outsider, gets a Base Attack Bonus of +30.

Presumably, then it would get 6 attacks for it's full attack action. Is that right? Or is there a rule somewhere that limits the number of attacks in a full attack action?

I mean, if you had a 50HD Orcus, or Greyton, or something... would it get 10 attacks?

It seems like a bit much. I can't find a rule for that anywhere?

Anyone? Anyone? Beuhler?

You can only get 4 attacks from base attack bonus. Of course, with the right combination of abilities (two-weapons, flurry, dervish, speed weapons), you can get over 12...

Though if this is a monster shouldn't you look at the number of natural attacks rather than iterative attacks? Unless the monster is not wielding a natural weapon (spiked chain, scimitar, etc.) that is.

Yes, the attacks may be based on natural attacks, but I figure an Abyssal duke probably uses weapons (he may get some natural attacks thrown in *after* the weapons as secondaries to get even more attacks though!)

This particualr fella is humanoidish and sports a +4 Thundering Greatsword. No natural weapons of note.

One more question...

Does a 30 HD monster (Outsider) have a Base Attack Bonus of 30? Per the MM monster creation guidelines? Or 25? Per the Epic Character rules?

It probably deserves note that in 3.0, BAB derived from natural HD ignored the normal cap. So, a solar with scads of HD got scads of attacks.
