May and December...how young is too young?

My wife is almost 16 years older than me - I was 10 days short of 20 years old when we got married, and she was 35. We've been happily married for 21 years now.

I think it's the individuals involved much more so than the specific ages, though. As has been mentioned already by others in this thread, age and mental age are not always the same thing.

it's not the age that counts, it's the maturity level (which is a bit harder to guage, thus most people go with the easier number of years). of course, if you use that to explain to a judge why you are unusually interested in 14-year-olds i don't think that will work.

my step-daughter's biological father dated a 14-year old girl after he broke up with my now-wife (eewww, he's like 32 now). she finally split up with him a few months ago - i guess at the age of 20 or so, she outgrew him.

I find that couples with a 10-year age gap between a man and a woman with the woman being the younger is not all that uncommon.

Y'see, a lot of psychologists judge maturity by a sort of give and take time scale. Add five years on to an average woman for her relative maturity, and take 5 away from a man.

So, a 30 year old woman and a 40 year old man are both considered to be 35 in terms of maturity, on average.

Of course, this isn't anything more than an unproven theory, but it sure is interesting.

What if somebody is 95. Does that meen that they can only look at 70 year olds and up.

I've heard the one-half-plus-seven rule before, and I suppose it's as good a rule of thumb as any ... but a rule of thumb is a rough guide, by definition. Stuff like maturity, well, you should pay attention to those issues even if you're born on the same day.

That's what it boils down to. Thought versus action. It's not who or what you find attractive, it's what you do or don't do about it.

We saw those last two films and my wife (totally straight) and I agreed, in language unsuitable for Eric's Grandma, that Lindsey Lohan has become. . . how shall we say. . . very pleasing to the eye.

I'm not afraid to admit that she's hot, minor or not.

I was standing around one day, smoking a cigarette with an aquaintance of mine on a break (we were rehearsing for a play). This guy is always way oversexed, so naturally, he checking out the young hotties running around in leotards (A midsummer night's dream) and he points one out.
