Currently reading Ian Graham's Monument which is turning out to be quite good. The main character is a total bastard, which usually doesn't work for me but Graham manages to make it fun to read.
Recently started but had to give up on The Man Who Tasted Shapes because the author spent 3/4ths or more of the space on complaining about modern medical technology and American doctors' reliance on it. I agree with much of what he had to say, but it's not at all what I was reading the book for.
Next up I have Vernor Vinge's The Peace War and, depending on how that goes, Marooned in Realtime. Then have to decide if I want to read Green's The Fabric of the Cosmos, Dies the Fire (by whomever that's by... Someone with an S, I think), or go purchase Anubis Gates by Tim Powers or something by... Blake, I think the name was? I don't recall the title, either, possible Abarat. All I recall is that a lady at the bookstore recomended it highly and that it involves a fellow named John who has antlers and his brothers' heads hanging therefrom.
