MD-DC-VA Gaming Day: Calling all GMs

Haven't been on the boards for awhile, really, so I'm coming to this kinda late.

I'm interested in running a Shadowrun game, probably the morning session since that's where all the slots are. :p If there is interest, of course. ;)

I'm still developing the run, but I'll have something for perusal before registration.

I also have a paper to write, so don't hold your breath on seeing it early. :heh:

Yay, for another registrant! I'll earmark you, AIM-54, and please try to get a blurb to me by the end of the month.

That goes for the rest of you blurb-less folks too. :)

Hoi, Chummers!

Fragged!
DM: AIM-54 (Jeremiah Cushman)
Morning
GAME: Shadowrun 3rd Edition
TEASER: Just another day in the shadows, chummer. If it’s not the Man stompin’ us down, just means Mother Nature picks up the slack. This one was supposed to be a standard extraction job. The Johnson said a willing target, which might be considered easier. I shoulda known better. It’s not that we didn’t prepare. We’re professionals after all. We did the legwork, scoped the extraction site, planned the run. Sometimes Lady Luck smiles on you and sometimes she spits in your face. This was one of those times. Somehow, they knew we were coming. We were fragged.
NUMBER OF PLAYERS: 4-6
PC TYPES/LEVELS: 130 Build points
GAME RATINGS (SCALE OF 1 - 10):
• Action = 8
• Role-Playing = 5 *
• Puzzles/Mystery = 5 *
MATURITY RATING: PG-13
SPECIAL NOTES: * There will be opportunities for more RPing and puzzle/mystery elements depending on the players preferences.

Characters will be pregenerated according to the players’ wishes. No deckers, please.

This run is designed for Runners of any experience level, so both experienced and neophyte players are welcome.

Xath, can you update the description of my HARP game to this:

Just after entering this cold, sleepy mountain village, the PCs learn that strange deaths have been occuring at random intervals over a period of more than a year. The authorities are stumped, and despite the fact that they have hanged one man, and have another imprisoned for the crime, the murders continue. Can the PCs find the real source of the murders before more bloodshed is spread?

Cancellation

Originally my calendar was open for the MD-DC-VA Gameday, unfortunately that has changed.

So regretably, I have to cancel my DM slots for that day. Great fun to all that are able to participate.

Hope to see you guys for the Fall Game Day.

Thanks to Cthulu's Librarian for bringing this Gaming Day to my attention!

If you're thinking about running an event but don't want to go to the trouble of writing one up, making six premade characters, drawing a dozen full-color illustration handouts for your players, and making unique tactical battlemaps of every location -- I'm looking for DMs for Behemoth3's first monster module!

Over at the Chicago GameDay, TracerBullet42 bravely stepped up to run it this weekend as his first-ever DM experience. Here's his report:

Everyone seemed to have a really good time, and I know that I certainly did. I had a blast with the Captain Well character... Everything went really well, and your set up was really easy to run due to all the help you guys give, such as the illustrations and scaled maps. It really makes it easy. I will highly recommend this module for first time DMs. The low-level play is easy to manage, but the new creatures keep things interesting for experienced players.
If you're interested, drop me a PM, or reply here!

EDIT: I ought to add that this is a D&D adventure for 6-8 third level characters, who ride an airship into the depths of the Rushmoor Swamp to investigate rumors of strange and deadly new aspects of the stirge ecosystem; it was the qualifying round for the Masters and Minions tournament we ran at Gen Con last summer.

Sorry guys, yesterday came and went without allowing me any computer access. I'll be putting up a partial list today, but I'm still waiting for entries from D'Karr, Archon, and Tom Cashel. Do you guys still plan to run? Please let me know ASAP.
