MD-DC-VA Gaming Day Pictures!

It would have helped if I had done a "badge count" before we got started :p!

I think that WizarDru and Valanthe sent down 50 or so badges, but I did see alot of people without them...especially in the afternoon session.

Well, you can do a count by table. I had a total of 7 separate players at my table the whole day so you can put 8 people for table 3.

If every DM gives a count you should get a pretty good estimate.

WOuld anyone mind maybe giving a little commentary for the pictures, to note who is who? I recognize Old One, and if I saw Psion in the pics I'm sure I'd recognize him, but I know "jack" about anyone else in the shots. It's always nice to fix names with faces, where possible. :)

Picture #10 is my reaction after rolling a 1, I believe. Or possibly blowing a swim check -- both came up a lot at our table. :)

Wow, that's huge! Next time you'll have to keep track who was there. I'm sorry I wasn't.

Thanks for the photos, Xath!

EDIT - who did that poster-sized schedule? That thing was kickin'. Also, I recognize a few folks, but I'd love it if people can identify the folks whose names they know.

I'm the bald guy in the ENWorld shirt counter-clockwise from Psion in Picture xx378. I think Xath must have been worried about the glare from my head because she cut me out of the group shot of Old One's game (360) :D

Lets see if I can put some names to faces on a few of these:

The guy on the right wearing a blue shirt with the baseball cap on is Rasyr, running one of his HARP games. He wins the award for loudest table of the day.

The DM in this game is D'karr.

I think that was one of the many 1's that came up, as the miniatures on the table are from our encounter with the giant. Which was a much better encounter than the deadly pond. That's Big B covering his face, AIM-54 in the hat, and the DM is Old One.

This is AIM-54, and I'm standing in the back.

Me, Cthulhu's Librarian, caught by surprise.

On the right is Big B, sorry, I don't remember the name of the guy on the left.

Old One
, a DM who's mere presence at a table causes d20s to spontaneously roll 1's. And boy, does he take advantage of them. ;)

The Killer Pond in Old One's Grim Tales game.

Old One again.

Rasyr, holding a copy of HARP, which he designed and wrote.

Another shot of me, Cthulhu's Librarian, being taken by surprise. This time eating during D'karr's afternoon game. Xath must have a very high Move Silently check to catch me off guard twice. I don't know the other people's names, sorry.

The huge temple room in from both of D'karr's games. It took us most of the afternoon session to fight our way across this room. The temple was mostly constructed from WorldWorks Games PDF scenery, some of it slightly modified. Highly recommended stuff!

That's Psion on the left in the ENWorld shirt.

Psion behind the laptop and Rodrigo Istalindir to his left, both with ENWorld shirts on.

Psion consulting his notes.

Old One's afternoon game

Thats' all I know. Thanks to Xath for taking pictures!

Er, Rodrigo's to my right, to the onlooker's left. ;)

I took down names just for this reason:

That's me with the notepad and laptop.

Clockwise we have:
  • Arimura Yuuko, playing Vargas, the miracle working engineer
  • MetalBard's head - Character Bocephus, the "Hick Engineer"
  • Mrs. MetalBard, playing Lucia, the travelling doctor and fill-in astrogator
  • Josh, Ramien's Army friend, playing Ja'Cen, the Army/Security guy
  • Ramien Meltides, playing Black Tom, the ex-Navy merc
  • Rodrigo, playing Phillipe, the ship's captain and pilot.

P-Kitty,

Rodrigo whipped those up for us.

Hmm.....if whoever brought the roll of tickets still has it, they could give you a pretty accurate count.

Thanks. I'd be happy to offer my services to any other Game Day organizers (I'll provide you a .PDF. You're on your own getting them printed at Kinko's -- that place is expensive!)

Some more names to faces.

Table 3 Morning Session - DM in the black shirt facing away from the camera D'karr. From left to right Bobbert facing the camera, FritoKAL who played the funniest rendition of a halfling I've seen, and FerretMaster303 also facing away from the camera. Great game guys

Table 3 Afternoon session during break - Cthulhu's Librarian caught by surprise and BobotheHobo. Not pictured from the afternoon game FerretMaster303, Stahler 77 and Skada Marie. This was a grueling battle.

Thanks for the picture Xath.
