/me casts Resurrection on Trinket

Just a brief announcement that I have repackaged Trinket.Character which was originally a free product for eTools, but now is just a free 3rd party addon. ;)

It has sat dead for a few months after a pretty extensive beta. Hopefully it may be of some use.

I have given some thought to building an XSLT translation so that you could get PCGen xml files and use them as well. It really depends how much interest there is for that sort of thing. (And there already exists a similar product for PCGen.)

But at any rate it is a free product and while I can't spend much time developing it, if someone or a few someones are willing to take it I would consider making it open source.

For those that have no idea what I am talking about. Trinket is a character viewer for Pocket PCs. It allows some minor interaction with stats and other things within a character sheet-like interface. It knows nothing about D&D or any rules at all. Its all just numbers and text from the XML, which means you can use it without etools if you want to edit the xml yourself and fill in your character info.

Where to find it? http://www.runicsoftware.com

That's great, Eric! I think the beta was pretty darned good, but because of the version update issues I couldn't use it. I'll take a look at it again.

Thanks!!!

Like a hawk you are, that was quick I hadn't left this forum yet.
Anyway I forgot all about that, its been a while. But that may be an issue, since the "beta" patch fixes a number of bugs in the XML output I'm thinking you'll have to apply that. I don't know if people are using the patch or not since they call it beta.

I know this thread is ancient, but I couldn't reach you on runicsoftware.com. Are you still planning on making this opensource? (Please say "yes!")
