Mearls is your hostage!

If we have him hostage, why would we only ask him one thing? Multiclassing, then rituals, then, if he's still conscious, non-combat encounters.
Since we're going that route, might as well get the rules on subdual damage. Might have to use them sooner than anticipated.

I'd kidnap him and lock him in my basement and feed him Doritos, Mountain Dew and the occasional pizza with anchovies.

And I'd bring all my friends over to pet him.

I'd lock an explosive collar on his neck and make him steal the early copies of the 4e rules for me;)
You mean a remote-controlled cranial bomb, no? Oops, wrong game. :heh:

But yeah, multiclassing, then skills (stunts), then grapple.Rituals and social stuff isn't Mearlsian enough!

Cheers, LT.

So, assuming you were going to have a major D&D developer like I don't know, Mike Mearls in your neighborhood and had a small army of goons to "encourage" him to leak some D&D info.

What would you ask him to reveal in order to be set free?

My vote would be multiclassing.

I swear I'm not a crazy man and will not harm you or detain you, Mike. Tell Cherise from I-Con to get her bosses to vouch for me.

Gene, since we'll both be at I-Con with our respective goons, we'll have to have an 80's style dance fight for him.

Or we can just surround him and bribe him with snacks, or ply him with booze.

Either way, I'm down ;)

All of the above. Then I'd have him redo 'Darkness & Dread' for 4e.

And maybe convert some Iron Heroes classes too.

And I'd want him to show me the Druid they've been working on. And the Bard.

Honestly, though, I don't think we'd need to take Mearls hostage to do all this.

All we would need is Meepo -- his kobold familiar.

And, as we all know, there are no laws against kidnapping, torturing or conspiring to kidnap and torture a kobold.

How horrid ............. all of these posts go against EN World's gold standard of non-biased posting.

But what the hell.

I guess I'd make him wear a gnome-mask and march him to a cliff and ask him "so do you feel like a monster now?"
