I have heard rumors, are they actually working on mechwarrior movie?

This is the closest to what you ask...

All other reports about Mechwarrior, run only to 2003, February or March. Here is a IGN.com FilmForce article. Usually the article would have updated links on the progress, but there is none there for the moment.

UPDATE:According to IMDb's history chart on Mr. Devlin, he is not in involve in the movie at all, nor there is any mention of it, in the IMDb's database. Currently he is producing a film called One Nation.

I always wondered why there hasn't been a Mechwarrior movie.... it seems a natural for a big budget CGI movie, it has name recognition among computer gamers; whether you're a gamer or not, a movie featuring armies of giant robots fighting each other would be enormously attractive....

What I want to see

As long as it's not cheesy...and just about the Clans....and only the Clans. Clan mechs are cool but what about the Innersphere? They should set it right at the start of the invasion. Have it this big story and it looks like one of the Successor States is going to rule or something...then at the end of the movie cliff hang it with the Clan Invasion.

Also for pete sakes have a Shadowhawk in there? It is only one of like three most well known non-Clan Mechs out there. Also don't do the damn "red shirt" thing with it. Have it as a main character's mech. Even an old school SHD-2H from the box set would even do. Okay...thats my two cents.

I'd rather focus on Inner Sphere as the protagonist, and see the clans for what they are: invaders.

Thats a great idea...as long as the IS uses a frackin Shadowhawk. That and I'd love to see a Locust, Battlemaster, Archer and perhaps a Maurder (sp). What mechs, ideas, things and such would you all like to see? I would like to have it as a PG 13 or higher movie to be honest with you too.
