Mainframe is currently making a direct to DVD Mechwarrior Movie. You'll have to do some digging, but you can find the information on the Wizkids game site somewhere. Check the news archive.

Information is sketchy, but it occurs in the Dark Age period and apparently deals with a small militia group on a planet that gets invaded during the HPG Blackout.

If it's Mainframe Entertainment, it's CGI.

They can use them now, you just wont recognise them. As of 3057 or so, those mechs were all massively redesigned. You wouldnt recognise them these days.
