Meddling Kids (Introductary RPG)

Crothian

First Post
Pandahead Productions put this out, they are the guys that do X-Crawl.

I hadn't heard anytyhign abiout this or even that it existed till I saw it and picked it up. It is a RPG introduction game. It is non d20, a simple easy to understand system. it uses only d6's since those are easy for people to have. It is aimed at a younger crowd and is very scooby doo ish.

For anyone looking for a simpel game to introduce your kids to this I think might be the best. I really like it more then the D&D Basic box set they have out now. Meddling Kids can be used for fantasy, modern, sci fi....the games won't be complicated but they are all doible. I know some people are on the look out for such a game so I suggst taking alook at this one.

I would like to second Crothian's recommendation.

I was part of the jury for the Origins Awards this year, and Meddling Kids was my personal top pick for best game (each of the 5 jurors selected what they considered to be their top 10 - rating them from 10 to 1, 10 being best).

This is an excellent game, and I am even considering running it on the next DC Game Day.

THis game will make a good convention tyope game, easy to run easy to play easy to prepare for....
Yup, just watch an episode of Scooby Doo, Speed Buggy, Funky Phantom, or any other cartoon from that genre and you will have all the game material you need... :D

Where is panda head? I looked for their x-crawl championship this year and did not see it on the Gen Con program. (This event has been one of the highlights of the past two years at Gen Con)

Brett if your reading this let us know what is going on with Pandahead

They were promoting this at GenCon two years ago. I still have the promo postcard over my desk, 'cause it looked like so much fun, but I didn't know that it had ever been released. (Honestly, I thought the company had folded.)

I wonder if they're ever going to release XWorld, which I also thought sounded like a lot of fun.
