Medicine throughout history

First Post
I am starting to work on the medicine rules for different Tech Levels and I wanted to get some ideas from you guys. I am starting with the Stone Age, then Bronze Age, etc. I am looking for something a little more developed then just a DC to heal but not so much to be annoying.

Here are the various Tech levels: Nexus Tech Levels - Nexus D20 Wiki

If anyone knows of any really well done medical rules in any game then tell me!

Thanks!

Haven't played a WOD campaign for quite a few years, but I remember clearly the Medicine skill (with it's own specialties, just like all skills in WOD). You 'll find it in the core book (The World of Darkness core book) under the description of skills.

Perhaps it can also be found in any of the series main books as well: Vampire: The Requiem, Werewolf: The Forsaken, Mage: The Awakening.

Not very complicated, as always, still not as simplified as a single DC.

Just take a look here... perhaps Monte Cook's World of Darkness is more appropriate? ...don't know

Ok I finally found my books for WoD and went through them. The medical rules are way too simple for my purposes. Thank you though.

Basically what I am working on is I am going to have an entry for each tech level describing the medical technology of that era. Then I was going to have a list of medical devices for each entry.

What I am trying to figure out how best to do is listing the procedures available per tech level. For instance at low tech a stab wound could not be really fixed. They could do some simple surgery but not the complex layers of work that would be needed. Up to modern tech level they can repair the layers of damage for say a abdominal stab wound. In future tech levels they may just stick you in an autodoc and press a button.

So what is a good list of procedures that would change through time alot? Basically what I am trying to figure out is a list of procedures and which ones are more difficult then the next. I can set the DCs but is reconstructing a leg harder then reconstructing intestines? etc.

I know that it is sounding like it would be too complex but once I divide it my tech level then I think it would be just right. Plus, as I said it is there so that a PC doctor has more to do then to make a vague medical roll. And it makes cross Tech Level stuff more impressive.
