Meeting EnWorlders at GenCon - Good or Bad?

Never met an Enworlder that I didn't like. However I have had a problem with people confusing me and Clueless for one another, both Enworld people and people that I met through Planewalker at Gencon.

I've not met any Enworlders that I know of... but then I've never been to Gen Con...

Now meeting people from the WotC boards at Gencon, wow that's a different story

I've met two guys off the WOTC boards at Dragoncon, one last year (Edymnion) and one (Fixxxer) the previous year.

You guys should come down to Dragoncon! That's the biggie con I get to every year. It's alot closer to me than Gen Con!

I think meeting up with ENWorlders and NTLers will ultimately be what gets me to a GenCon.

It figures, I finally get to a point, financially and geographically where Milwaukee isn't a big deal, and they move it halfway across the country. *sigh*

The folks I've met at Gen Con have been almost uniformly even better than their online personas had led me to beleive.

Anyway, there's only been one real disaster from meeting with EN Worlders/Nutkinlanders, and that's really not a bad average at all

actually i hung out at my hotel with a fellow ENWurlder over beers in 03. i just can't remember his screenname.

Now meeting people from the WotC boards at Gencon, wow that's a different story

i didn't have any trouble with the WotC crew. in fact, i got WotC Mel to buy me some beer at their evening get together.

i have many real life friends from the experience. some i knew online for years before i finally got to meet them at Gen Con.
