Mega-Adventure Prelude--Tenebrynn's Revel

Hasin and Droogle exchange a nervous glance at the mention of the Bruinthor MountainsNo, I do not hail from those halls. The moles can keep their dirt digging ways, I have lived my life under the sun- enduring her blessed heat. My father was a noble warrior who protected the tent village of Al' Azaar. One day I will have my revenge on the "Desert Wings" who ordered him to be killed. Hasin absently plays with a dessicated dwarven finger that he wears around his neck-I have come north to get my father reincarnated. and to see my cousin Droogle. A better dirt digger has never been called a dwarf.

"I think that desert heat has melted your brain cousin. My clan may have lived in the desert for a brief time, but our hearts have always belonged under the mountains."

Droggle looks at the finger of your father again, and his thoughts turn to his own father, who rarely speaks of his brother these days

"And I am not sure resurecting your father would be the best idea. I dont like to speak Ill of the dead, but he sure did leave a mess behind when he passed, and bringing him back may cause trouble that many would like to avoid"

Hasin looks at Droogle with a touch of death in his eyes You would do well to check your tounge Droogle. My father knew the whereabouts of a fantastic hoard of treasure! Hasin's gaze lightens A treasure that I will need him to tell me and you to share with me! The foul Desert Wings do not deserve their ill gotten gains- It shall be paid to me to settle my blood debt. Any mess he may have left behind I shall pay a maid to clean.

Jinx swallows a bite from the apple he nicked from a buffet table. "Lokin, right?" He raises his eyebrows at him. If he gets as much as a look of acknowledgement, he talks right on.. "You speak truth, mostly. The way I see it, only good things can come from a man takin' his destiny in his own hands. You might mess up and get killed, aye. But there ain't no shame in dyin' as a free man. Beats kicking the bucket 'cause of someone else's mistakes, or worse, plans."

"Do my eyes decieve me, or is that Khairi I see?" Octavio cries out. He stops dancing and playing his flute long enough to geet his friend. "Wonderful to see you again. Isn't this the most speldiferous party ever!?"

(COLOR=BLUE)Octavio! I see you are having a good time. This is indeed a fine event. It is good to see you my friend.(/COLOR)

Peladus Bralc, human Wizard 1 - now approved

Peladus has been walking slowly around the room, arm linked with the lovely Alyssa's. The two have been sipping champagne and admiring the scene. They enjoy the splendid illusions, and watch the other partygoers. These masses of people, some in beautiful clothes, some in outlandish outfits, all seem worthy of comment, since Peladus is continually leaning over to whisper in fair Alyssa's ear. She, for her part, is happy to lean forward herself, at times snuggling into Peladus' side, laughing with a delightful, bell-like sound.

Until, that is, the wizard makes one last quiet comment, and she recoils in shock. Then she steps forward and strikes him resoundingly on the face - so loud the slap, indeed, that it carries easily above the music, and draws the eyes of those nearby. Then she draws herself to her full height, and turns, as if to stride off. Before she goes, however, she turns back, and stepping forward again, grabs the young man's head and pulls him down into a brief but passionate kiss. Grinning, she turns on her heel and walks resolutely away.

Peladus laughs as he rubs his reddened cheek ruefully. "She's stronger than she looks," he opines to no-one in particular. Chuckling again in recollection, he signals a waiter and collects a fresh flute of champagne.

Smiles politely to the new face "Hi I'm Ashmodai... or just Ash for short. I guess I can definitely agree with you there nothing like taking matters into your own hand, letting the winds of fate guide your destiny... but never you hand" Ash Grins, reflecting on what he just said.

Ash then tilts his head back to Lokin and shrugs "You definitely seem real enough Lokin, and I personally wouldn't be so harsh to judge. From the looks of things, I would imagine a lot of adventurers have just started off small. Doesn't that always make the best stories to tell at the fires at night?" Ash smirk, and takes another sip of his wine.

Jace speaks, "Is there not a temple or assembly of clerics in your home? Surely, the hands of Gundar follow you on the sands! A cleric of sufficient experience can cause a corpse to answer any question. If your father's remains are whole, save the obvious finger, you may be able to get your answers without disturbing his afterlife." Jace brushes his brown hair off his rounded ear lobes. "Though, I do admit it seems a gruesome business."

Jace, It is good to meet you, though I am suprised to see so many fancy elf types in one place! and here I thought you all lived with squirrels and ate nuts up here. It seems many of the views are unpopular here, Heh- these people sing the praises of the GODS BE DAMNED ORCS! will wonders never cease my friends?

Heh, Sorry Bout that- But you beanpoles all look alike. Especially through these mead goggles.Hasin tugs his beard thinks then speaks Gundar has turned his back on my family. We have lived amongst humans my whole life. besides, a raise dead requires a whole corpse...which would make a tacky necklace. The Soul Forger Is fine for the those who live under the mountains, but the sands are a harsh place and require a harsh faith. Mind you- I ain't the religious sort, but know to dedicate my kills lest she sap my strength.

Cousin, rumors of treasure are just that, rumors. We will stumble into enough treasure on our own. Your fathers treasure is likely long since plundered

Droggle narrows his eyes at this statement, and offers his cousin another brew.

"I think now is a time for more drinking cousin .. and less talking"
