Meld into Stone Question

Hey All,

I am in the process of picking some third level spells fro my favored soul character. I know that we are going to be going against some undead in our upcoming adventures, most likely incorporeal. I am wondering how some of you DM's would rule attacks made by incorporeal creatures against someone under the effects of a Meld into Stone spell.

cheers,

See no Evil

Even if your under the effects of meld into stone and have positioned yourself in a wall or underground, Incorporeal Creatures may make their touch attacks at you. However, while incorporeals can move through walls and attack freely through them, I'm pretty sure they can't actually see through them (and neither does someone moving through a wall with spells). Therefore, even if the incoporeal creature knows your in the wall, theirs a 50% miss chance, and if you can't see through the wall somehow, you effectively blind to his attacks as well.

Hope this helps!

well im willing to say they cant attack you as your apart of the stone. The listed spells to counter the spell are the only way to beat the spell. think of it as mother earth herself is protecting you.

I remember reading some place that Incorporeal creatures can not affect material objects unless they have some special ability to do so, like a spell like ability. So, physical attacks on objects don't work. i.e. A specter couldn't do damage to a chair with an attack an object action. I was thinking that I would effectively become an object for the duration of the spell.

cheers,
