Ahh, ring gates! I haven't seen those used in years!
The idea of sequentially adding to your reach is not bad. I dismissed it out of hand because I didn't think it would be possible to efficiently challenge Grazzt's Long Grasp / Spectral Hand (and btw, Hyp, the reason I listed Grazzt's Long Grasp is because the text explicitly says "melee attack - I must have missed that on Spectral Hand because I wasn't sure about it at the time of posting.")

Danny, thank you for confirming that Whirling Strike works. I believe the limit on that is 60' and it does not play well with things like enlarge - so the best method would appear to be invisible ring gates, and the second best method a spell like Spectral Hand or Grazzt's Long Grasp.
Now, as for the payload, I'm sure there are a lot of other abilities that are more powerful than something like dispelling strike.

The Bloodstorm Blade does throw things, but he gets an ability that lets him add melee abilities to thrown attacks. I have absolutely no idea how it would interact with other PrC abilities.Hypersmurf said:
