Melodrama, Minds and Muscles?

I enjoy mook bashing sessions, but only once in a while. I've been lucky in the campaign, in that we've got to smack around large number of dretches, hobgoblins, gnolls and orcs...of course, once we'd finished with the dross, it was on to the Huge Earth Elementals, and 16HD Evil Outsiders. Not quite so easy, but fun in a different way.

Yes, but I'm playing a solo character with a first-time DM, and I have around 15 years more experience (22 vs 6), so the slower rate of advancement suits me fine.

Interesting. I can understand the init concerns, but barring that, they don't like playing *superheroes* that way? BTW... would odd terrain mean fighting on suspension bridges, on top of open towers with raging winds and all that?

Yea, I actually love fights with big tough baddies, just that every now and then, I'd love some mook-mowing just to feel heroic, that's all

Eep, if I had your playing experience, I'd have been playing since I was two (I started at ten ). Nice to see that everything works out fine anyway
