I love pretty much everything I've heard of 4E, but I'm in the pool of "please say 'cool' less."

It's bad enough I've been reading Lovecraft and his constant "aeons" and "furtives" lately.

And if hear the phrase "non-euclidean geometry" one more time...

I have a friend who really liked the Elric books but couldn't go back to them because he was sick of seeing the word "sardonic."

Different strokes and all that, I guess.

Good grief, that guy had a thing about the word "squamous".

EDIT: Then there's Eddings' twist of taking phrases that were mildly funny the first time he used them, and beating them to death with a stick.

As far as I know, I've never met Scott, and I do have a few reservations about 4E, but the guy cracks me up. It's hard not to like him. That's enough to get me to commit to one (1) copy of the 4E core rules when they're released.

I dunno. Having all those options are just encouraging powergamer designers. Now they can min-max their descriptions of 4E which will just destroy the game.

I get the feeling cool is one of the "at will" words, and things like wickedawesome should be "per encounter." It's overpowered for an at will power.

Wait... does a WotC editor have a per encounter ability to let all designers and developers within 5 cubicles put the word cool in whatever they're working on at the time?! Cool Me Up Yon Post!
