Mercenaries at Origins?

Over at Ogrecave it's mentioned that Mercenaries: Born in Blood, is out.

Anyone pick up this puppy or have any opinions on it? It's one of the books I've been waiting on for a long time.

I was at Origins and I didn't see it, nor did I even hear anyone one talking about it. So, if it was there it was well hidden.

Somehow I'd gotten confused and thought it wouldn't be released until GenCon... but it was supposed to be released at Origins. (I checked the Otherworlds boards.)

I've been waiting anxiously for this book for months. It must be mine! :)

Well I hope that someone who was at Origins did see it or we get some commentary from the old publisher soon.

I see from several posts here that I'm not alone in wanting this book. Don't get me wrong, AEG's Mercenaries book was great but it wasn't exactly a book on Mercenaries.

I posted this elsewhere but to reiterate...

From: http://www.ogrecave.com/archives/003429.shtml
OtherWorld Creations has Mercenaries: Born of Blood (I think that's the title) new at the show; it includes rules for making a mercenary out of virtually any creature in the Monster Manual. I'm thinking shambling mound.

The second sentence means he definitely read it. Now, it's possible the book was not in finished form and the poster only saw a preview. But OC said they were going to debut it then.

I believe it's supposed to be released in stores two weeks after that. I haven't gotten my comp copies, so I can neither confirm or deny that the book is in finished format -- and won't until I'm holding it in my hands.

See my web site for updates. I also post to the OC Merc's forum to keep it as up to date as possible.

I just got back from the show and was crusing the boards when I saw this.

Mercs was out at the show, in print format, in all its glory. :) It sold well, and some retailers picked up multiple copies for their stores, so some people may see it this week. Otherwise, it ships to Distributors on Wed (our warehouse people also just got back today) and you should see it in stores a couple of weeks after that.

Hyrum.

P.S. Now you guys are making me nervous. I hope the book lives up to your expectations...

Well, it had a gigantic preview, something like 60 pages from it. That gave a great impression of what it's like (which is probably why it's so eagerly awaited)
