[Meta?]How many artists???

Howdy,

I'm a freelance cartographer for a bunch of d20 companies and a couple of Dungeon Magazine issues also. Some of my recent projects include: the Geanavue poster map (Kenzer), the Banewarrens (Malhavoc), the Freeport hardback interior maps (Green Ronin), Seven Strongholds and Seven Cities (Atlas), Burok Torn (Sword & Sorcery), and a few other products I tricked publishers into giving me.

I work mostly in Illustrator and Photoshop, and yep, I use a Mac.

XOOXXO,

Rob Lee

Hey, Scott!

You're the man! I love the color studies in your gallery (specially the smiling monk)!

I'll be putting some stuff from Freeport and Librum Equitis is my gallery next week, dude! Check it out.

Best,
Marcio

Hi there!

I've done artwork for all of Fiery Dragon's products since Nature's Fury (most notably their Counter Collections) and for Dark Quest's Cyber Style setting.

I've also written some stuff included in Counter Collection 2, but my first professional gig was an article in Dragon #273, detailing 10 new druid spells! (Go figure...)

Greetings to all artists here (either professional or not)! It's good to have company!

And a special hello to my buddy TheAntra:

- 'Sup, sonny?

:)

Hey, Will!

Me and Claudio (both from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) have been role-playing for twelve years now. We've been taking turns at the DM chair and, of course, drawing the characters of the party...

(Actually, The Antra was a mage I played at a world-shattering campaign that Claudio DMed many years ago... That campaign was SOLID!)

We both tried to get into comics together, both ended up in advertising... and both ended up as RPG artists! Go figure...

It's no surprise that we ended up with similar styles, huh? :)

And Klaus, I was wondering when you were going to show up! (You still owe me a lunch, you slacker! ;)) BTW, I love the new psionic characters in your website, dude!

Best,
Marcio Fiorito

That's awesome :) nothing better than old friends, I say.
With that explanation it's no surprise that there was a common thread of influence exerted on each other in some way. It's funny a friend of mine of many many years who I used to game with in Saudi Arabia also ended up in the same exact industry as I did (computers). He can't draw either, just like me! ;)

If I ever finally make it to Brazil, I'll be sure to look you guys up and invite you for a Caipihrinia or two. (I probably spelt that wrong).!

Take Care,

-Will

Hi guys,
I've been doing freelance fantasy art fulltime for the last seven months, which is a dream come true for me and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.
So far I've worked on Freeport, all the Dragonstar sourcebooks, a number of the Legends and Lairs line, Loads of Mongoose books and just done an illo for Games Workshop.
It has taken me about 12 years to get a break, but now I'm in you're gonna hafta prise my jaws off the butt of fantasy art with a crowbar!!

Good to hear from all you artists, keep it up!
