I was thinking about a new Metamagic feat
Additional touch/lingering touch
Any touch range spell which is prepared with this metamagic feat can be discharged twice. After the first touch the charge still remains on the casters hand, and it can be used again.
A spell prepared with additional touch must be prepared at 2 levels higher than normal.

I'm assuming 3.5e style no self-stacking of metamagic feats.
What do you think of this? I've not seen it before, but a touch-magic mage would certainly benefit from it.
Is there any abusive potential?
Should it be limited just to attack spells, or is it OK for other stuff like Cure/Inflict spells?
I figured a +2 adjustment because it could give you twice the damage of a spell instead of +50% like empower, but it is riskier to use and you don't get it all in one go. I certainly wouldn't put it at +3 levels, I don't know if the case could be made for only +1 level though.
