Blockbuster
Evocation [Fire, Red]
Level: (9)

"I never tire of explosions." - Trishdare

This spell works like fireball except it may deal up to 25d6 damage. You may reduce the damage by 1 die to extend the radius of the effect by 5' to a minimum damage of 10d6 with an effect radius of 95'

Commandeer
Transmutation [Blue, Metamagic]
Level: (5) Sor/Wiz 6
Components: V, S, F
Casting Time: 1 immediate Action
Range: Medium
Target: 1 spell in casting
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No

You must expend a spell slot as an additional cost to cast Commandeer. You make a caster level check against the caster of target spell. If you win you are the caster of target spell that is of equal or less level than the spell slot you expended (You now make all decisions for the spell and all it's level dependent effects are calculated from your level.).
Focus: A lodestone worth 100 gp.

Concerted Effort
Transmutation [White]
Level: (3), Clr 4
Components: V, S, F
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Close
Target: 1 spell in casting
Saving Throw: Will Negates (Harmless)
Spell Resistance: Yes (Harmless)

Each creature in range gains a +X luck bonus to perform any attack or skill check, where X is the number of creatures attempting the same action on the same target on the prior round.

Life from the Loam
Conjuration (Creation) [Green]
Level: (3), Drd 3

This spell works like animate dead except it instead of requiring a body it assembles a humanoid-like body out of moss, loam and peat. The creature so created has the stats of a zombie except it isn't undead and it is a plant.
Material Component: 1 50gp emerald or jade is required per creature created.

Hex
Necromancy [Black]
Level: (6)
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: 60'
Targets: 6 Target creatures
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: Yes

When killing 5 just isn't enough

Hex deals 6d6 damage to 6 target creatures.

... whoa ...

Eye of the Storm creates a powerful multifaceted maelstrom of magic that the resourceful may use out of combat and the daring or insane may use in combat. Each spell causes a cascade of previously cast magics to occur again with sometimes unpredictable results.

Whenever a spell with a duration of instantaneous is cast in the area of effect each other spell with a duration of instantaneous cast in the area of effect of eye of the storm is repeated.

- These two sentences are somewhat contradictory; but I get the general idea.
- What ensues appears quite unpredictable

What happens if a spell is "cast" if you will the second time around at an "invalid" target... say "counterspell" at a creature.

- And if you aren't careful -

If these spells had a target they affect the triggering spell's target unless that spell has no target in which case they affect their original target again.

... even if the original target is on another plane?
... And if both "the triggering spell has no target" and "the original target no longer exists" The spell is cast at what?

Uhh, isn't Amnesia a blue card?
Planar Chaos dude -- D&D doesn't have the same division of effects as the card game does. For example, green has naturalize in the card game, while my D&D wheel still has no such effect for green, though white still gets disenchant. The reasons the spell effects are divided is that the two types of games work differently. Life gain, white's calling card, is MUCH MORE significant in an RPG than in the card game. Green's creature king status isn't as meaningful in the RPG so to compensate it gets to move into 3rd place in direct damage effects with the cold spells, and so on.

And while 90% of the time the spell I coin matches the card color for color, that isn't always possible.

Spells with illegal targets are countered, just as in the card game. The expanded spell rules in the Dusk Player's Guide explains this once so I don't have to go back and re-explain it with every spell.
