Since it seems we've got a pretty decent group willing to attend a Gameday in the SE Michigan/Ontario area, let's get down to brass tacks. First question: Where?

Respond so we can get a site arranged and can begin the fun stuff - what games and all that.

I answered "US side," but that's not entirely true, as I might be willing to head to Windsor too. (The poll needed to be multiple choice :)

My preference is, of course, Ann Arbor.

Until we actually have some viable and real locations, it really doesn't matter. I think we'll be more constrained by what we can actually get rather than what everyone wants.

I tend to agree with Josh, which is why I suggested trying to reserve a room at one of the universities/colleges in either the US or Canada. For my part, I'm pretty flexible on the final location since it's unlikely that anywhere we end up is going to be more than an hour away by car.

Well, as far as reserving a room at a college... I'm an employee of the University of Michigan (AA campus), so I could probably get us a room at the Union if interest ends up swinging that direction.

I'd prefer it be on the states side of the border, myself, but I'm being selfish. :) Ann Arbor would rock, if possible, but that's hardly the only place I would settle for. Somewhere around Lansing would be better if this was a Mich only thing, but Ann Arbor would be a nice compromise between the areas, I'd think... I dunno.

What I'd suggest is that we all list our locations so a midpoint can actually be found. I don't know if it's too late to become part of this myself, but I'd really appreciate the chance.
I ended up choosing Ann Arbor only because it's the closest location for me, but in all actuality anywhere within 2 hours from Sanilac County would be good. I pretty much live in the thumb and a location in Canada might be closer for me , espicially if it's near Sarnia.
-Protosift,
No delusions of grandeur here, at least not compared to those I play D&D with.

Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner!

Lazarus, I'm officially asking you, as the unofficial semi-planner type person, to please see if you could get us a room.

Seems like a lot of people are saying Ann Arbor so let's run with that and see what comes of it.

Sound good to everybody?
