Midnight 2nd edition

In terms of quality, the guy who runs Midnight for us on Saturday at Games Plus has a 2nd ed and his book is in pieces. The color part is seperated from the rest of the book. He's unconcerned with it.

For maps, check out the Kingdoms of Kalamar, especialy if you can get the old boxed set or their Atlas book. Fantastic stuff.

Midnight 2E is one of the best d20 settings out. The production values are pretty good for the most part. The 1E binding problem seems to have been repeated in the 2ed book. The glue is coming loose from the spine of the book which in turn is peeling off the map on the inside of the front cover.

This book is so much diffrent from the standard vanilia Dungeons and Dragons that I don`t care about.

Now whether to play this or Warhammer? Maybe Midnight with Warhammer`s system?

I thought they would have been more careful after the fiasco.

I considered buying 2E. No longer. Having two shattered used-to-be-books sitting on my shelf is bad enough.

Mine hasn't done that. It's not as solid as a WotC binding, but only my 1st Ed. book fell apart. The 2nd Ed. one is rock solid in comparison....though not when looked at against some other books :)

Of course, FFG is really good about replacing the books. I complained to them about my 1st Ed. one, sent it to them, which cost something like $6 CDN to ship, and they sent me a brand new copy free of charge. Better than buying the book a second time.

I'm willing to deal with that, given how good the material is. Though maybe I'll feel a bit different if my 2nd Ed. one does fall apart.

That's kinda of why I have *two* books that are falling apart...

The mere chance of that repeating itself greatly lowers the chances of me picking up the print book.
