[Midnight] Bad Binding?

I just picked up a copy of Midnight today from my FLGS. I eagerly took it home and began to read it, but was horrified when after about 15 minutes a few of the pages in the races chapter came loose from their binding and nearly fell completely out of the book! I just bought this! Am I the only one this has happened to? Was there a problem with the print run?

This is a great book and I don't regret buying it. However, the binding issue has me a bit torqued.

Mine is perfectly bound, nothing loose or anything bad about it. I think you got a bad copy. You might want to take it back to the store and get a new one.

Make sure you have the sales receipt with you.

Inspect the replacement before you leave the store.

FFG may do product replacement for defective books just as WotC does.

Can't wait for my book to show up. I just put my order for it in with FFG on Friday.

Hey Starman,

Sounds like you got a defective book. I'm actually very pleased with the binding -- not too tight, but nice and sturdy. My copy has gotten a lot of use over the last couple weeks, and it's holding up very well.

The easiest thing would probably be to ask your retailer for a replacement. If they give you any trouble on that, though, send it to us with a note and we'll take care of you.

Yeah, I'll take it back tomorrow. The FLGS owner should replace it for me as he happens to be a good friend of mine. I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't an issue for the whole print run or something.

Hate to be a "yeah me too". My book just disintegrated in the same spot as yours Starman... think there might have been a few bad bindings. Friend of mine bought his the same day and his is just fine...

I however have a nice loose leaf book from page 49 to 67... hhehhe...

I will be taking it back tomrrow to get a new one.

The setting rocks guys... good job. Hope these are just a few isolated incedents and does not mar the overall opinion...

Got at least three with bad bindings

Picked up Raevynn's book and two other customer books at the distributor on Tuesday. All three of them are mentioning the same issue in precisely the same section of the book.

I bought four books. The fourth one is in my private collection and I haven't cracked it yet. Been too busy. I'm going to flip through it a few times and see if there is an issue.

At any rate, if it helps, I know the precise distributorship and warehouse location where these four books came out of. It might help FFG track down where these books ended up.
