If they are in an inn or other similarly safe place, they'll sleep without their armor, but still with weapons within reach. They do have lots of powerful enemies, after all.
If they are in the wilderness, they'll sleep with light armors if possible, so as not to become fatigued. Only in extremely dangerous places, where a nighttime attack is almost assured, will they sleep with heavy armors.
