I just found out about the convention from your post and might try to go :)

I've never been to a convention before so I'm pretty curious. Has anyone been to this one before? Roughly how large is it usually?

I went to the con last year. I would say it is fairly big. It draws from surrounding states. One bad thing is I think there is a con in Southern MS the same weekend.

I am very much looking forward to it

CJ Cherryh is one of my favorites and I love GURPS so meeting Steve Jackson should be fun.

Here is the schedule for the FORGE (a local club in memphis) games at MidSouth Con 20:

Scooby Doo Cthulu - Hal Phillips - Fri. 8pm, Sat. 9pm
Mines of Moria (D&D) - Brett Bolen - Fri. 8pm, Sat. 12pm
D&D Tourney (1st Round) - Norman Hunter - Sat. 8am, Sat. 5pm
D&D Tourney (1st Round) - Tod Underhill - Fri. 4pm
D&D Tourney (Final Round) - Tod Underhill - Sun. 12pm
Oblivion's Kiss (LF) - Shana Bertram - Sat. 8am, Sat. 5pm
Swift Justice (LC) - Shana Bertram - Sat. 12pm, Sun. 8am
Cold Blooded (LG) - Mike Seagrave - Fri. 8pm, Sun. 8am
Charting the Course (LG) - Mike Seagrave - Fri. 4pm, Sun. 12pm
Fell Creatures (LG) - Tod Underhill - Sat. 8am, Sat. 5pm
Hole in the Wall (LG) - Tod Underhill - Sat. 12pm, Sat. 9pm

There should be more games but I don't know about that

here is my blurb

"The plot is this you are dwarves looking for Balin after a couple of years. It is set between the Hobbit and Fellowship. Since this is a con game I will give out characters. "
