D&D 5E Mike Mearls interview - states that they may be getting off of the 2 AP/year train.

You should try and actually read people's posts instead of reading one or two lines and then saying what you want to say.

So when I said two things, one of which was "The idea that Paizo gives their customers what they ALL want..." and you responded only to the other one, is that what you're talking about when you chastise for not reading all of people's posts and instead reading just one or two lines and then saying what you want to say? Was that you again being intentionally and cleverly ironic? If so, touche', you're pretty funny. I laughed again on that assumption. :)

Let's talk about how you think all pathfinder players get all of what they want, and your earlier comment about how no pathfinder players are bothered about the quantity and type of content being put out for Pathfinder. I assumed both were a joke, but if you're serious then I have to ask, do you frequently read the Paizo message boards and do you honestly get the impression that there is 100% satisfaction on the Internet by Pathfinder fans concerning Pathfinder content?

Yeah I think we all can guess which Enworld function I will be activating.

This has no relation to the question Mistwell asked. You should try and actually read people's posts instead of reading one or two lines and then saying what you want to say.

Is the function you'll be activating "Cancel Account"? I think that would be rather pleasant.

No you didn't so please don't try and lie. You though you were laughing "at" my post but you seem to forgot that was changed. I never said Paizo wasn't there to make a profit, I said Paizo aren't on the profit treadmill where they sacrifice giving the customers what they want for the sake of having to make more and more profit.

You should try and actually read people's posts instead of reading one or two lines and then saying what you want to say.

Wait. Wait. WoTC is a slave to the profit treadmill but not Paizo. Ok. WoTC being said slave sacrifices giving the customers what they want in order to make more profit? Profit doesn't come from selling people stuff they don't want. Clearly, given the financial success that is 5e, WoTC is giving their customers exactly what they want.

It's almost amusing by this point that he keeps claiming that that's our point of view, when we've repeatedly told him otherwise. Yes, we know that any change might invalidate past canon; yes, we know that our campaigns are going to diverge from canon lore - and we don't care. We still would like to have as much detail as possible anyway! And we'll deal with the changes as they come with no problem, and certainly without the existential angst that we're no longer 100% canon like he seems to think we'll suffer.

I say, let 'im keep bludgeoning away at his strawman if it's that much fun for him...

It absolute is fun for me! I wouldn't keep talking about it if it wasn't! :)

I freely accept that you want what you want. Which is cool by me! I have no issue with that whatsoever.

But... should you then try to make an argument for WHY you should actually get what you want... that's when I'll show up to point our that your reasoning for that argument is flawed. Mainly as a counterpoint should anyone at WotC (like Trevor Kidd) be looking at these threads wondering what they should work on next. So I comment in the hopes that WotC sees things the way I do and doesn't spend their small amount of time working on something that I consider to be completely pointless.

Heck, if CapnZapp takes every chance he can here on the boards to request proper magic item pricing, Tony Vargas keeps the "Add the Warlord to the game!" request afloat, and MoonSong bangs the drum for a 3E-styled, non-specialized Sorcerer to eventually get added... I can occasionally say "Hey WotC, the setting stuff you've already produced for the Forgotten Realms for 5E is fine. Don't waste your time, energy and money writing a 300 page book for the rest of it. We already have that in the 3.5 book." ;)

...that's when I'll show up to point our that your reasoning for that argument is flawed.

An argument you disagree with isn't objectively "flawed",e specially when you are arguing with strawmans instead of the true opinions of people.

Don't waste your time, energy and money writing a 300 page book for the rest of it. We already have that in the 3.5 book.

And that differs from every 5e book exactly how?

IF you'd have said "don't spend your time on a book I'm not interested in", I'd be cool with that. Every one of us want books we're interested in. But please, don't try to show your personal taste as some objectively true philosophy of what should and shouldn't be done!
