@mikemearls - Stuff I Want

Been asking for it on Wizards forums for what, a year? More? No results.

Looks like there's zero resources on MB at this moment.
Didn't they change the UI to support the DMG 3 monster stat blocks? I guess, when they had resources for the MB, that's something they were spent on. :)

And while we are at it; how about a few more styles of Character Sheets. Like some of the cut down pre-gen ones and with more customisation on how it looks.

The old style Red Box Day character sheets look great: I want that!!

:D
please..

:D

I'm not sure if Mike Mearls is the person to make these requests to. I suppose he can punch up the guy in charge of the monkeys that write DDI and tell them to make it happen.

I think the WotC boards are the last place to post suggestions relating to the Monster Builder. I haven't seen a substantive reply from a WotC employee on those boards for over a year now.

-Make a class builder that integrates with the character builder. Making your own classes is fun, rewarding, fun, awesome, and fun. I want a necromancer who is a defender and "tanks" with his undead minions while pooping on the cycle of life and crippling people, not a goth wizard in black robes.

You might be in luck...

One of the books they talked about in the gencon seminar was I think the Hero Builder's Handbook? (Maybe that was the one where you could make a blacksmith.. can't remember, but they talked about it.)

Anyway said book is going to be designed to help you design your own classes, and powers and stuff.

If they're making this book- something tells me they'll be adding it to the CB as well.

No, the blacksmith thing was mentioned for Champions of the Heroic tier.

Right- then yeah the Hero Builder's Handbook is the one I was thinking of.

If they release a book that gives you advice on building new classes, I can't see them not putting this ability into the CB... Seems only natural. But who knows- maybe they'll decide it would be too confusing to have that info built into the CB?

-Corollary to above: companion character tool. There should be a better way to do this in 2010. My options are: hack it out in monster builder, or write it on an index card. Writing stuff on paper is so 2008.

This is the one I would really love. Writing companions using the Monster builder works OK but it's tedious and the companion math and the monster math aren't quite the same so when I level them up I always need to make sure it didn't screw up the math.

It seems like between the character build and the monster build that pretty much all the pieces are there for a companion builder.
