Mind Flayers and Spell Focus Question

I have a question about the use of the feat Spell Focus (and therefore Greater Spell Focus).

Does either of these feats apply to a spell-like ability tied to the school of magic that those feats are chosen for?

For instance, if I'm building a mind flayer sorcerer, would Spell Focus and Greater Spell Focus increase the DCs for its Mind Blast and Charm Monster spell-like abilities?

Likewise I know about the feat called Ability Focus. I planned on taking that once and applying it to the mind blast ability.

Spell-like abilities are not spells. They are like them, but not them. Metamagic feats, Spell focus, etc. that work only on spells do not apply. (Same answer in the FAQ).

That's the one you want, and it can apply (separately) for each SLA.
