Mind Switch ... special abilities ??

The powers description states:

Neither of you gains the other's special abilities.

What does this mean ? ... Let's assume I am a cheesy player (or DM ) and take over some outsider's body. What do I get ? The power description states that you keep your own SR and

... not automatically know the powers of the creature.

This suggests that you get at least some physical powers like DR, regeneration, resistances/immunities. Or would you only get the (Ex) abilities ?

What do you think ?

It's from Psionics Handbook, page 88.

You are correct. You basically get the body of the new creature and Extraordinary abilities. I can't remember if troll's regeneration is (Ex) but if so I would let it fly. Nothing transfers if it has anything to do with skill, experience, or is mentally related.
