Miniature Facing in 3.5

Do we know for certain that the large monsters that are 5x5 facing are going to become 10x10 facing as well? Or is it just the 5x10s?

I think all Large creatures are now 10x10.

Humans, goblins, halflings, dwarves = 5' [1" x 1"] square in combat situations.

Ogres, horses, owlbears = 10' [2" x 2"] square in combat situations.

supposedly there are rules in 3.5 that govern non combat groupings.

Just so you know, the "large" minis from the D&D mini line up coming in september will be on 1.5" round bases.

TO continue the info from above...

Large = 10x10
Huge = 15x15
Gargantuan = 20x20
Colossal = 30x30

This should be true for all creatures. From what I understand this is suppose to represent the area they occupy while in combat, not exact size. (IE horses and ogres)

Any idea how riders will be handled with this new system? If a warhorse is now 10X10 which square is the rider in.....just pick one?

My guess is the center. That way, the rider is sitting astride the back of the horse, not the backside as was indicated in 3e.

Maybe its counted 5' from the big square. Just like the horse can attack 5' around it, maybe the fighter can too. (Or is horses reach 10'?)
