Normally, I'm against dividing up messageboards too many times, but in this case, it really is a topic that some of us have a great interest in and others could give a hoot about. That seems to be a perfect reason for having a seperate minis forum.

The minis board pointed to is a minor games manufacturer's own board with almost zero activity...

I must have missed this the first time through since I had already nixed the idea of using my board myself when I received an Email from Krusty about it.

I don't think that the lack of activity on my own boards is really a good way to guage interest overall but I doubt there's been anyone more actively posting about minis (including the old "Minis Chat Nights") than myself for the last year or so on EN Boards. Although, I can't remember you posting in those threads or showing up to a single chat, I'm sure your interest and intentions are sincere.

The group that used to turn out for the weekly chat nights were the strongest posters on EN Boards regarding minis in all of the time I've been around (lurker since the beginning, poster for a couple of years). We used to make sure there was a decent sized thread/chat every week with posters like Conaill, Krusty, reapersaurus, frankthedm, Umbran, Barendd Nobeard, Tsunami, Kesh, Telor, Masked, Aeolius, Replica, voob, MythandLore, THG Mage, Thorntangle, Doomsdaisy, and probably a few others I'm forgetting to mention.

Were you one of these fine folks but using a different name? Where have you been all this time, eh?

Saw it. I'm not sure how much MoRuss would care for trying to take over another forum but then again maybe minis are an artform and it might make sense. I suppose taking a chance that it will piss him off, rather than waiting for a decision on a dedicated minis forum is someone's idea of a pro-active stance on the issue, but I'm prone to wait until the mods have discussed it and returned their decision. Doesn't make sense to me to force an issue when it is already on the table...
